5 Yard Skip Hire
A 5 yard skip is practical solution to waste clearance. This 5 yard skip is classed as a larger sized midi skip, which is ideal for big residential clearance.
The 5 yard skip is perfect for those who need additional space but do not require a full builders skip. Our 5 yard skips are able to hold up to 55 black bin bags worth of waste.
This makes the 5 yard skip a popular choice among DIY and residential clients. We recommend that you follow the fill guidelines set on the skip. This will help prevent you from overfilling, which could leave you subjected to charges.
Is a 5 yard skip suitable for my requirements?
A 5 yard skip is the largest midi skip available. This skip type is just one notch under a full builders skip, which stands at 6 yards.
We recommend a 5 yard skip for those who need a personal solution for mid to large level waste clearance. Many tradesmen tend to use a 6 yard skip, however 5 yard skips are ideal for smaller commercial jobs.
As a tip, we suggest that you always overestimate your waste clearance levels in an effort to avoid overfilling an existing skip or the need to hire an additional one. This way you are able to save on time, as well as budget when you hire a larger skip from the get go.
What can I put into my Skip?
We accept most waste in many of our 5 yard skips, they are perfect for materials such as:

- Organic waste

There are some items that are prohibited from entering the 5 yard skip. Items that cannot be placed in our 5 yard skips:
- Gas Cylinders
- Hazardous Waste
- Electricals & Fluorescent Bulbs

You will require a skip from the council whenever you hire a skip to be placed on council owned land. Please note, this also includes public roads. If you place your skip on private land, then you will not require a skip permit.
For residential properties, a driveway is an ideal place to put a skip, providing there is room. Please note that our delivery truck can only drop a skip to where it can gain access. If you have any other questions regarding permits, please get in touch with us.
