4 Yard Skip Hire
A 4 yard skip is a practical midi skip, which can be used for domestic and commercial projects.
Midi skips are larger than mini skips, which tend to be 2 to 3 yards. A 4 yard skip is commonly used by domestic clients.
Our 4 yard skips are practical, yet affordable, which makes them an excellent waste clearance solution.
Is a 4 yard skip suitable for me?
A 4 yard skip is a good choice for large garden clearances or DIY projects. Tradesmen also often hire our 4 yard skips for small to medium sized jobs.
They can also be found on larger commercial jobs to dispose of materials, such as plasterboard, that cannot be mixed with other mixed waste.
We recommend that you hire a skip that is bigger than your estimated waste clearance. The reason being is that you may be subject to charges if you accidentally go over the skip fill guidelines.
This is why we recommend you hire a bigger skip in the initial stage to prevent charges or the need to hire another skip.
What can I put into a 4 yard skip?
4-yard skips are able to carry many types of waste, If you have any wastage you are unsure of, please get in contact with us first. Items that match the following categories:
- Organic Waste
What can I Not put into a Mini Skip?
Not every waste item can be disposed of, failing to follow these restrictions could leave you subject to additional charges. The items that are prohibited from our skips are:
- Hazardous Waste
- Electricals & Fluorescent Bulbs
- Gas Cylinders
Midi skip Delivery Time?
Our midi skips are very popular, however we can still offer same day delivery dependant on demand. On request, we are even known to collect the waste the same day.
This is another reason why our clients keep returning to us. Our new online booking system allows you to book in a time that is convenient to you. You can even book via telephone during our opening office hours.
Do I need a skip permit?
A skip council permit is required when the skip for hire is placed on council owned lands. This includes public roads.
If a skip is placed on private lands, such as a driveway or front garden, then no permit would be required. It is also worth noting that our delivery trucks can only deliver to areas they have access to.
