Builders skip hire services
If you are looking to dispose of waste, our builders skips provide an effective, yet efficient solution to waste management. At Mackers, we are able to provide and supply many various sized skips, which range from 2 cubic yards up to 12 cubic yards.
Builders and tradesmen use our skips daily to clear both commercial waste and residential waste. Our skips are able to dispose of wood, plastic, metal, paper and rubble. Furthermore, builders typically hire our 6 yard and 8-yard skips as well as our 2 yard skips for materials that cannot be mixed waste such as plasterboard.
Our 8 yard builders skip can dispose of heavy materials and hold, on average, 75 bin bags worth of waste. Therefore making our builders skips the perfect solution to waste.
Hire a builders skip for waste clearance
At Mackers, we understand that sometimes a job requires urgent waste clearance. This is why we are known to deliver skips as well as collect them on the same day as enquired. Furthermore, we recommend that you overestimate the level of waste required to clear.
The reason for this is that you may be subject to charges if a skip is overfilled beyond its guidelines. By overestimating waste, you can hire a larger skip to allow for emergency room therefore eliminating any extra charges or the need to hire a secondary skip.
Below is a list of our builders skips for hire and their capacity levels-
2 Yard Builders Skip Hire– 25 bin bags of waste (Mini Skip)
4 Yard Builders Skip Hire– 35-40 bin bags of waste (Midi Skip)
6 Yard Builders Skip Hire– 65 bin bags of waste (Small Builders Skip)
8 Yard Builders Skip Hire– 75 bin bags of waste (Large Builders Skip)
We can also provide 3 yard, 5 yard, 7 yard, 10 yard and 12 yard skips if required. If you are unsure on which skip suits your requirements best, please do not hesitate to call us.

Will a builders skip require a council permit?
A council permit is only required when a skip is placed onto council owned land or property. Therefore a public road is subject to a permit because it is classed as council land.
If a skip is placed upon private property, no permit will be required. In addition to this, it is important to note that our delivery drivers can only place a skip in locations in which our trucks can obtain access.
