6 Yard Skip Hire
Our 6 yard skips are a popular choice among builders and tradesmen, as they hold a capacity of around 65 bin bags worth of waste on average. Due to the size of these skips, you will need a fair amount of space for the skip to be placed and be accessed.
The 6 yard skip is commonly referred to as a small builders skip and is very popular due to its competitive pricing and prompt delivery. Bare in mind to try and order in advance to avoid any shortages of this skip!
At Mackers, we believe in client satisfaction, which is why we now offer same day delivery and collection.
Do I Need A 6 Yard Skip?
Our 6 yard skips are suited to building refurbishment projects or large domestic house clearances. Our small builders skips can be seen on both commercial and building projects and have even been used in projects such as large garden clearances.
The 6 yard skip can hold a capacity of 65 black bin bags, however skip fill guidelines must be met to avoid additional charges.
We recommend overestimating the amount of clearance you have and therefore hiring a bigger skip. This way you can avoid overfilling or having to hire an additional skip, which saves on time and money.
What 6 Yard Skips Can Take?
At Mackers, our 6 yard skips are able to take:
- Building Materials
- Natural Waste
Remember, our 6 yard skips are unable to take all items such as:
- Gas Cylinders
- Hazardous Waste
- Chemicals & Paint
- Electricals & Fluorescent Bulbs
How fast can builders skips be delivered?
We are able to deliver our builders skip on the same day as your enquiry. We are also able to collect on that same day, if required. We understand that not every client requires a skip in urgency. This is why we have introduced our new online booking system.
Our online booking system allows our clients to book their skip in to hire at a time that suits them best. We also have clients that prefer to book via telephone, which is available to do so during our office hours.
A council permit is required when a skip is placed on council owned land. It is worth noting that publicly owned roads are also council property and therefore would require a council permit.
Private land does not require a council permit, which is why many domestic clients prefer to have their skip dropped on their driveway. Remember, we can only deliver a skip to where our delivery truck can gain access, so please keep this in mind. For any other enquiries, feel free to contact us.
